I'm using SM 3.6 on my slim ps2 (6 months old) and have had great sucsses with my backups, the only discs Ive used are mitsubishi+R 8x with an MCC code, been through 3 10packs with only 2 coasters which arent really coasters at all, they play fine on my freinds fat ps2 and will boot on mine but freeze on the first screen. One of these games is burnout revenge.
Things Ive tried= Cleaning the laser lens, Rebuilding with gnie's expert v1.05, Burning at 2x,4x and 6x. All with the same result, the game boots and then loads like normal but on the screen where you choose 50hz or 60hz the movie keeps playing in the background but I cant select anything to proceed. So now I have all these copies of burnout revenge which I cant play yet they all work flawlessly on my freinds fat ps2. Can anyone tell what me whats going on here?

interesting, I have the exact same problem... it works fine on my HDD though, maybe it's something with the slim PS2?

Hi dan, your up late! lol Yeah I was thinking that too, maybe it can be patched or somthing, im suprised no one else has had this prob before though, I did a search.

lol, we are probably both up late for the same reason :)

I wonder if it's a problem with the PAL version only? Cos that would explain why you don't get many posts on this problem, most people here use the NTSC version of the game... as for a patch, never came across it :(

Yeah possibly, Im going to get a diff brand tomorow and try again, that way I can have a few different coloured coasters to go with my collection :)

I tried removing the memory card incase it was the network config settings causing a dnas check, Allthough im not tryn to go online, Now it says no memory card found and asks if I want to continue and I still cant select anything :( If anyone else has experienced this please speak up!
