i've backed up at least 30 games with some ty DVD-R i got. when i burn them with a120% or dvd dcrypter they work the 1st time and if i'm lucky the 2nd or 3rd. but after that the never load back up. i've read about how to burn at 1/2 the speed and what speed to write the games, but im not sure what i'm doing wrong. i read the thread about best media, that's why i went and bought some ty's. any advice to help my backups play right?

load up DVD Decrypter and insert one and it will give you the manufactures code then it should match here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681

When kiwi1 said teh media code, he meant something else... put the disc in the DVD writer, load up DVD Decrypter, and on the right hand side it'll give a "Disc ID" (it's got information about your DVD writer and the media), that's what we are after.

What version's your PS2? I'd say you may have a laser problem depending on the version...
