XVID codecs problem??

I have a film encoded in XviD or atleast i says it is XviD but when i play the movie i only get sound and no picture.

I have a XviD codec
DivX codec
i also tried a few codec packs but none helped.

I have used GSpot and it says it is bi_rgb codec and as i understand it you dont need a codec so why wont it play??

i dunno i would go D/l the k-lite mega codec pack and install it...that should fix the problem if not then maybe there is a problem with the video...
