It might help if you clearly define what problems you are having with the router, and what make/model it is.

Are you setting it up for the first time on adsl, if so what isp are you using?

Give as clear step by step of what you already achieved and what it is that is not happening for you.

i am using a dlink di 604

i had been using it for a while at my mothers house her pc is hooked up to eastlink cable and mine was running off of that with no problem

now i am at my fathers who is using aliant dsl and i have been having major issues trying to set it up

i run cmd
hit ipconfig/release and its fine
do ipconfig/renew and get error msg

also it would not allow me to access the page 192.168.0.1 which is supposed to have a login page etc.

[IMG]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c28/nellzywellzy22/asdfjalskdf....

after hrs of playing around with that
i hooked my pc up as the 1st comp on the router( prev the 2nd comp running off the router under eastlink )
hooked my dads up as the 2nd comp on the router

i installed his aliant cd into my pc using his existing login and passcode he has been using all along on his aliant

i went in and was able to do the ipconfig/release and renew with no problemi still cannot get the 192.168.0.1 page to come up on either one

but i am now able to connect to the internet on each comp seperately and the same time
i dont know if this is the right thing to do or not
but i ran out of options lol

Make sure that the router is using 192.168.0.1 as its address.
At cmd do ipconfig /all and check what address your pc has been assigned via dhcp, and that the default gateway (the router) is 192.168.0.1
If the default GW is different then use that address instead.
If it is 192.168.0.1, then see if you can ping it from the cmd prompt.
If you can then try to load management page on router again via IE, if no ping is possible, then you need to sort that out first.
Best to do all this with just the one PC connected at first.
You could always try to use a static address in the PC, set it to 192.168.0.2 or 3 and set he gateway manually.
Otherwise if all else fails reset the router via the reset switch at the back, it needs to be held in for about 10 secs to work.

Haven't got my magifying glass so can't read it very well.
It looks as though the default gw is 192.168.0.1 and you have 192.168.0.95.
The lease time is fine.
You just type ping 192.168.0.1 from the same prompt that you type ipconfig at, it will either respond or time out.

Best way to test is to go very slowly bit by bit.

Disconnect each part of network.
Remove Ethernet between PC and router, and Modem cable from router, power cycle router).
Renew IP address on PC, make sure it is blank before reconnecting router., make sure only 1 pc id connected, not both.
Now do IPconfig /all and see what address is assigned via dhcp.
Ping that address and again ping the gateway address with firewall off.

You may want to do a reset on the router.
Depending on the firmware, you could just have another Dlink problem which requires a firmware upgrade, they have plenty of issues which do not always show up on all units, some people never get any issues, others get all the problems.
If you do a reset you will clear anything that may have caused it to have a problem.
If you do a search on Dlink 604 firmware issues, you'll see that there are numerous problems.

You'll need to see what version you have, if it is rev e then use this link.

ok so i did what u said for me to do

i cannot open the firmware bc its a .bin and it wont let me open?

i was able to ping it and got a response on each one from the main comp
i didnt get any response from my comp it still timed out

i still cannot open the 192.168.0.1 page but i am online with both computers and accessing internet just fine
as long as that lease thinger doesnt mean i am going to be without internet after a week i think i should be ok?

The lease time is just from dhcp, after a week you'll have no ip address, and it will just go through the process of getting another address from the router, as it did the first time.
You'll probably get the same address.
If you want, you can just add a static address in the pc via the networking section.
Start/control panel/network & internet connections/network connections
Select your adaptor(local area connection)right click then properties.
Highlight internet protocol then properties
change from obtain address to use the following and enter details
