Is there a way to change the capture frame file type from bmp to jpg?

I don't think so. I think you have to use a graphics converter program.

There are free ones and free trial of commercial ones. Just do a google for bmp to jpf converter.

NeroVision Express has jpg option for its capture in the application settings. Configure > General tab > Picture dropdown menu
