I did it all copied stuff to root (2 files), update in the game folder with 1.5 eboot in it and then it says enter in vshell photo menu, wtf is that? I clicked on photo in the menu of the psp and it freezes after 1 second forcing me to reset my psp and then I did it a couple of times and then two of those times it made my psp 1.00 so then I upgraded to 2.00 using my gta lcs umd which failed at 99% but yet when I reset the psp, I had firmware 2.00!! WTF is going on? Someone plz help! The guides don't help since I don't know what VSHELL Photo menu means..my psp works but I'm just curious...how do you know if ur psp is bricked, is it because it doesnt work at all or what?

When your PSP says that it's 1.00 then execute the 1.5 upgrade and you'll have a 1.5 PSP.

I have two things to say about that...when it is 1.00 it still has the browswer as if it was 2.00 but it says its a 1.00, when I update it to 1.50, at 99%, it says "The update failed. Contact the Sony Computer Entertainment technical support line for assistance. (ffffffff)"

After all that I reseted my psp and it is back to 1.5 but I am concerned because it failed at 99% instead of having a succesful update at 100%, is this normal? (in other words, is this suppose to happen?)

Yes, that's supposed to happen. Nothing went wrong. You now have a new 1.5 PSP.
