Hello,
Recently I have used my PSP 1.5 to run ISO via Fastloader 7.0
But, I have only been able to run torrent .ISO files that come already pre-zipped and ready to go. The other game files found dont seem to be working...more like, I am just doing somthing wrong.

d-exit.r00
d-exit.r01
d-exit.r02
d-exit.rar
d-exit.sfv

along with an internet shortcut to GamesTorrents

I read elsewere on this forum sight that you just need to unzip the
d-exit.rar so it becomes a .iso It worked and became an iso file, yet once I added to my PSP and tried to run it threw Fastloader, it just locked up the system.

Is it possible that the torrent files are corrupted or is it that theres somthing I need to do in order for it to work?

Please guide me in the right direction, I thank you all in advance.

-Eric

*EDIT* Could it possibly not work on the PSP on account that it isnt version 2.6? In that case would it be possible to use the homebrew 2.6 version to trick the ISO and allow it to work?

Thanks again

OMG i answered this for you already. You need a different loader like UMD Emu to play that game. Use the search button, its your friend.

I appreciate the reply, but instead of an attitude perhaps a link to your post would be nice. I used the search tool yet there are so many junk posts like "MEGA MAN DL PLEEZE!!!!" or "ISO L337 HELPZ!!!" that inevitably I gave up and asked for an educated, black and white, answer to help me out.

Don't get me wrong, hunting for answers are half the fun...but having 35 ISOs work fine, and this one here just freeze up my PSP is really annoying...

Anyway, links to helpful threads or a feasible answer in this thread would be appreciated, thanks.

I dont have an attitude, I help many people with problems, i just get pissed when i answer a question then a new thread is started asking the same question.

Beleive it or not, Fastloader is obsolete and only good for 1.50 required iso's. If you searched, you would know that.

Taken from http://psp-hacks.com, here is how to boot exit with UMD Emu or Daxziso.

boot option: MPHGL - VSH Exec -
RAM ON

Everything else default

I really dont appreciate your comments, I do my best to help others, and only get pissed when people are too lazy to search or look at other highly recommended sites for answers. Im happy to help, thats why im here, but expect a bad attitude after answering your question and then you starting a new thread for me to answer it again.

If you need flash for UMD Emu/dax, let me know, i have a lot of links.

Its that game called Exit

I just tried to use Devhook, and downloaded ver 2.5 pbp and used the unpacker to find the psar

Ran Devhook, changed the settings to 2.xx < 2.00
firmware 2.5
umd d-exit to start...
and it went to black screen and turned off.

svt my comment wasnt hostle, just replying to yours...I know you probibly answered this 100 times, but iv been researching for a long time now, and well apparently im still not very good at it lol...

Anyways, I live on PSP-hacks but again they really dont print stuff in black and white like at times I would need...kinda like when your looking up a def. in the dictionary and all it does is explain the work with another word that confuses the crap out of you and makes you look up that word too...

so I have MS:/root

dh:/
PSP:/
/----> GAMES:/
/------> DH_ENG
DH_ENG%
DATA.PSAR
ISO:/ d-exit.iso

Now...my Fastloader0.7 runs the isos that I got that were already in ISO form...yet doesnt run the EXIT game which I needed to use WinRAR to create the ISO...So i guess its because I have firmware 1.5

*shrug* idk confuses the crap out of me

dont ever use WinRAR to make iso's, download umdgen to do that, that might be a big problem. Also download dazxiso .55 or .62 and id be happy to help you get Exit working:)

UmdGen v2.00

Well, apparently it only sees ISO files yet the EXIT game from the torrent file came as:

d-exit.r00
d-exit.r01
d-exit.r02
d-exit.rar
d-exit.sfv

so I used WinRAR to extract the d-exit.rar and it made the .iso

I dont know why but it did, one of those FM things...though I cant run it on the psp

used Dax v.62

did everything it asked...put d-exit.iso under ISO on root menu

placed the eboot files in game

and the folder with the info in the root menu.

Ran Dax, selected EXIT and all I got was a black screen.

what the hell are you doing?? Explain what you just said. Put the iso in the ISO folder and boot it on the settings i posted. Did you put the flash in the loader like I commented at?

ok dude. I think some of these guys are a bit confused at your question. Let me try to answer it.

First of all you are correct to unpack the rars using WinRAR. It's not zipped or it would end in .zip It's rar'ed which is another form of compression that splits the iso into multiple files. You star out by downloading WinRAR from www.download.com or another site. Then you decompress the .rar file. It will search and find the others and you'll end up with the iso file. Now since you are using the iso for the game "exit" that is a game that requires a higher firmware than 1.5 so you cannot use fastloader. (you'll only be able to use that loader on some older games) I used the devhook 0.41 ver but theres a brand ne 0.42 loader now. It worked perfect for me. Just set the settings to:

firmware: 2.5
2.xx < 2.00
umd d-exit to start...

and change the umd to the iso you should have placed in the iso folder on the root of the memstick.

Start it and it will shut off then boot back up and the menu system will look like a 2.5. Then just browse to the game -> umd menu and you'll see exit. You can start the game from there.

Ok well the WinRAR thing is nice to know about, clears up a few questions on my mind...

But having the firmware 2.5 in the MS root area is where i want it?
and of the 2.5 firmware update all i need is the .psar right?

well if thats the case, it is in the root menu

I then ran devhook 0.42 firmware is set to 2.5 2.xx < 2.00

Im not too sure what you mean by this, but the Exit.iso is in the root menu under ms:/ISO

But as soon as I hit start in Devhook, the screen goes black, and the PSP shuts itself off with no reboot.

*Edit*
Oh and about the,

I have no idea what flash0 and flash1 are to be honest...

I am very new to this and just recently i managed to run the 1.5 firmware games, im just having difficulty with the 2.0+ games

Look at my posts, and put these files in all your loaders that need it.

Haha frikin sweet I got it to work...

Seems like I was doing everything right, except the biggest part, installing the firmware via devhook.

Once I did that, I ran devhook under the settings, it rebooted and changed the firmware to 2.5 and I just clicked on UMD and it ran EXIT as if it were in the drive (wipeout pure is in the drive lol)

Thanks everyone for your help, and patients with me lol...later, goodnight

haha, trust me nobody will ever refer to you as that their. Do you ever wander to the ps2 forums? LS, aka Tokijin here on aD, in one of the mods there, and he makes a point to pis on people that talk down to others. he has a few stickies in the ps2 forums, check them out, he is one of the few reasons that XS is where it at lol.
