buttons dont work

can someone help me out.
my psp was 2.6 and was working fine now that i downgraded it to 1.5 sometimes the left button and x button dont work and when ever you try to change your nickname the cursor just keeps on going to the right not letting you type anything in but if i play a game from the memory card everything works fine except that you can not choose yes when you click on home and want to leave.

I dont think the downgrader would of caused that. But its a good possibility some of the PCB's are going out in your psp.

flexo786, just curious, how did u downgrade your psp firmare 2.6 to 1.5?? is that even possible?? did u use the modchip to do it?? from what i know, there is no downgrader for firmware 2.6 yet. what i heard is that the modchip allows psp user to use homebrew but it doesnt downgrade it to 2.6. so what did u do?? lolz

the psps 2.5/2.6 downgrader came out last week sometime(forget what day) it works on any psp 2.5/2.6 psp that does not have the TA-082 Motherboard, there's ways to figure out if it has that mobo, one of the psps i have (2.5 factory) is out of the Core psp pack that's out and that one is upgradable but some of those might not be, just check to make sure you don't have the TA-082 or you'll brick.

That's wack! But what you could try doing is upgrading to v2.00 and then downgrading back to v1.50 again, with diff v1.50 EBOOT UPDATE.
I don't know what PCBs are, but it sounds like the problem came about when you downgraded.

I dont think the downgrader would affect that. PCB's = Printed Circuit Boards. When you press a button, theres a rubber piece on the underside of the button that touches a PCB. Alot of people have probs with their buttons not working and 99 percent of the time its because the PCB is going out. It could possibly be the buttons, the PCB's, or maybe the downgrader. But i dont see how that would affect the buttons.

@ Hexitnow: Thanks for the definition. :) and I do agree w/ you. There is no reason whatsoever that the downgrade would've cause that.
@ Dude w/ the problem: Open up your PSP and rotate the little grey rubber thingy-madoo underneath the triangle x square and o buttons.
That's what I'm about to do b/c my o button isn't registering as well anymore.

I'm good. I've already been inside the PSP. She was warm and kind. :) That being said, you might wanna hook these guys up. Hell, I'll even take a looky. I was only saying I would rotate the grey rubber thingy-madoo b/c I know it can break down after a while b/c it's rubber and it can become dry and less flexible. (Like my last girlfriend)

ah yes. This might help some ppl. I forgot to mention, I broke the mother board on my White PSP and had to use the one from my black PSP. Now my black PSP is dead, but I can still use the back half of it to charge my spare battery. I don't have the faceplate on the black PSP and it's all wide open, so I get to see the PCB everynight when I go to charge the battery. Sometimes, it can be lack of contact on the PCB w/ the rubberized doohicky.

LOL! That's why I was saying I have to rotate mine around b/c the o button isn't making full contaKt.
Another thing that sucks:
My R button is loose. Like the plastic framing around the R button is too far apart and the button itself wobbles back and forth making and losing contaKt. I tried tightening it, but it became loose again. My only option is to use a slightly larger screw.
Sucks for when you're playing GTA and looking thru the Sniper Rifle, you are just about to take a shot and you end up walking off the edge of a building b/c the R button loses contaKt for a sec... LOL

dam, things are getting better every week. lolz, i didnt even know that a downgrader came out for firmware 2.6/2.7. where the heck have I been, in the planet mar. well, what can i say.....there is always new thing coming up for psp. lolz

Unfortunately, they'll just come out with another firmware that has been engineered so they don't have the same mistake.
