well put you psp into usb mode, go into the daxziso folder, and open the dax iso configuration file. and change the entry of

# The driver prx
driver = "null"

to driver ="ms0:/DAXZISO/usbhostfs.prx"
then save the sile
get the usbhost.prx from the files you earlier downloaded. and put it in the daxziso folder.
the come out of usb mode and open up daxziso. with your usb cable in and then it should make the noise etc. now follow the rest of the tut.

There should be a folder called DAXZISO in the root of your memory stick.

Open up the config file using notepad.

No you have to have DAXZISO, on your PSP as well as DAX Dumper (according to what hodgins is saying).

I'll have a tinker with this as well.

BTW- @hodgins-
Did you remove the link to your tut in your sig?
Cos I want to check it out.

Ok so I dl'd DAXZISO and installed it. Then I edited the .ini file and copyed the .prx file over.

I exited out of "usb mode" and went to thee game section and tried to run DAXZISO ... and got no detection/noise on the PC I also tried to Run UMD DAX Dumper and got no detection/noise on the PC

Ok file currently "appears" to be dumping :-)

The step that was left out is there are TWO (2) changes that have to be made in the .ini file I read the .ini file and saw what else had to be done.

so now I wait for dump to finish and see if it worked

BTW - I chose the ISO formate for dump ... is there a reason to choose another format??

thanks again ... if it all works (like it looks like it will) then I'll walk my bro through it

"eternalis" did you give it a go? .... and?

Game has completed the Dump to PC :-D

Now on with the Shrinking part .....

Shrunken file has the name name.ISO.DAX

1. Do I need to change that

2. Do I have to keep it as a .DAX file?

3. Is there a way to shrink them and have them be .ISO format?

4. If I had chosen to rip it to my PC as a .DAX file could I have shrunken it at the same time?

hmmm I guess "everyone" ran away from me.

Current Status:

Ripped UMD to PC

Compressed to .dAx file

Game wont load ... tried a bunch of differt setting in DAXZISO

Will this work with 2.6 games? I ripped Warrios Code

I'm thinking I should just get a bigger mem stick and avoid all this :-(

2.No, download ISO compressor and turn it into a CSO file so that you can run it with DevHook. You can not run DAX files in DevHook.
3.Like I said, compress them to CSO

Do not use DAXZISO! Change the DAX file to a CSO file and run it with DevHook 0.44.
