Okay, so here is the problem and question.

I have a 2.50 PSP...if I upgrade it to 2.60 and then use the downgrader to 1.50 would it be fine...or would I need a PSP that was 2.00 or below and I upgraded it to 2.50?

So what I'm trying to say is would my PSP be fine if I upgrade my factory installed 2.50 to 2.60 and then downgrade to 1.50?

yeah well it worked for me fine , but i cannot gurantee you that it wont brick although i have read posted by dark alex that most bricks have been caused by un experienced modders. if use a guide and make sure ure correct before you start the downgrade process im sure it will b ok. if in doubt check it out buddy

I know the process to the downgrade, I have downgraded a 2.0 PSP to 1.5 and also have expirience with many loaders and homebrew apps. So did you update your 2.50 to 2.60 and then downgrade to 1.50?

there are people who have reported 100% success with factory 2.5/2.6. So give it a go and report back. Just to be safe though I would upgrade to 2.6 first. Don't go beyond that though.

Successfully downgraded factory 2.5 to 1.5. Did'nt have to upgrade to 2.6 either. I think the only way of bricking it is loss of power (i.e. keep it plug in during the process) or pressing buttons while its doing its thing (i.e. leave it alone for about 2 minutes).
