A really big problem with swap magic 3.6

Hi guys !
Ok here's the situation :
My swap magic disk works like , 65 % of the time ? I installed the flip top thing, I never had read dic errors before, its the first time its hapenning to me .. (I got the swap magic today)

Here's my problem facts:
-35% of the time, Swap magic won't load
-When it dosent works, it says ''Disc read error''
-When the swap magic works, the backup works and everything is perfect .. So I guess the dvd backup media and the other things, we can toss them out of the problem..

Do I have to clean my laser ? I really dont get it why it works and sometimes not..

-I don't have some Omgwtf stuff for laser at my house, What is good for it ? (If its the problem.. )

(Btw, English is not my primary language, so I might do alot of spelling errors.. )

cotton swab (q-tip) and rubbing alcohol should clean it well

Thanks guys, you both rocks ! Is there a certain % of Rubbing alchohol I need? I got some 70 % here
(Sorry if it sounds stupid.. Im not good at these things ..)

shouldn't really matter, the stuff I usually use is around 70-80%, it just depends on what you have (I have medical alcohol here - got them from dad who's a dentist)

i had same problem on my fat ps2 .cleaned the lazer with can of air and then adjusted the lazer and works fine.lol i was going to ditch it cause it wouldnt read anything until i adjusted laser.same thing it would read swap sometimes but then after a while wouldnt read anything.

Alright i'll try cleaning it (If I really dont have the choice.. I'll adjust my lazer..(If I really REALLY don't..have the choice.. )) I'll say if it worked or not, thanks alot again guys for your help !

Hm, I cleaned the laser, it dosen't really works.. It stills says the error, I tried the thing about the white dial, but I cant find it at all, any clues ? I checked the images , and I really cant locate it.. Im using a v7 ps2

I found something out, I tried with my kingdom hearts 2 original and it worked perfectly, it Even booted the ps2 up to 20x time to check if ti will make a DRE .. It didn't at all.. does that means my swap magic dvd is.. bugged ?

I'm having the exact same problem, but I haven't tried adjusting the laser (I also have a V7 ps2).
