I have a old ds with flashme v.7 installed, i also still have my magic key. But when i try to use my magic key on my old ds to play head to head with the new ds it says that the communication was interupted. Anyone know why i cant do this?
Note: new ds is not flased. Old ds is using magic key 1.

If it is only single cart play, (so the new ds has to use download play) it will not work as the game on the old ds has had it's RSA signiture removed.
You need to flash the new ds, or use the new ds to send the game to the old ds.

But i loaded it with the original firmware. So the signature should be back. I have done this before with another ds(not lite) that was not flashed and it has worked.

It's not the firmware that would stop it working, it's the game, if the game is a rom, it will not be able to send a single cart game to a non-flashed DS as it does not have the RSA signiture.

I've tried it before. mr_hanky is right.
If I initiate single cart multiplayer with my DS using FlashMe, my brother's DS Lite won't be able to play it. It'll attempt to connect and then fail during the process. However, if my brother initiates single cart play with his DS Lite my DS is able to accept it because of FlashMe.
Most importantly, you shouldn't even bother using a magic key on a DS with FlashMe installed. You should be using an unmodified DS to send it to the modified DS.

but you can hold select on the mod ds to load the original firmware. so when i do that i should be able to use magic key and send the game to the ds lite.

Holding select when you turn on the unit dosn't load the original firmware, it just stops the DS from automatically loading the hombrew device.

Indeed. All it's doing is bringing you to the main menu of the DS. It doesn't disable FlashMe.

yeah you guys were right. Im stupid. I could have sworn that i did it before, but i guess that must have been before i used flashme. Now i kinda wish i didn't. Anyone know of a way around this? I could have sworn that i read that holding select would load the orginal firmware because when i do this and dont use magic key i wont let me load DS roms.

If you want you can remove flashme using a file called noflashme.nds, this will restore your firmware back to how it was prior to flashme being installed. Keep in mind that it dosn't work on DS Lites though.

I doubt that page is wrong, but I dunno.
noflashme is just the same as when you installed flashme, so you will probably need to short the SL1 connection again.

Ok. In a way it does bypass it but i still cant host. If it bypasses it then by using my magic key it should have worked. Do you know where i can get the noflashme?

I think you're still missing the point...
If you try sending a rom, regardless of whether it's done with a FlashMe or PassMe, the receiving DS needs to have FlashMe installed on it for it to work...
My brother has already tried it with Bleach DS. He used a SuperKey on his DS Lite and the all three receiving DS froze while trying to load it. When he tried it with my DS, which has FlashMe on it, it worked just fine. So, then he had me try sending it using my DS to his unmodified DS Lite, and it froze just like before.

Yeah, I gave up telling him that, I thought i'd let him remove flashme, realise he still had the same problem and listen to what we said earlier.

No i get it already. Call off you dogs. I was just saying if the webpage that i liked to was right then it should have loaded the original firmware, and worked just fine. Now i wish i never used flashme in the first place.

Alright, let me get this straight.....
If your running a rom regardless of the combination of flashed or unflashed it may not work regardless, because its a rom?
I Flashed both my ds some games work some don't, this is because some games just don't work in rom form right?
Or would unflashing one of the ds's and running the rom off that one work?

if you're using the M3.. make sure you're using the latest firmware. Chances are that the games you're trying to run are probably working with the newest firmware (E22). Also do the same if you have any other card.. make sure firmware is up to date. If it still doesn't work.. then yeah it won't work even if you use a regular DS to send to one that has FlashMe.
What games are you trying to run?

No, it's just that if you want to play download play with a rom, the receiving DS must have FlashMe installed on it. It doesn't matter if the transmitting DS is using FlashMe or PassMe.
