the problem that i am experiancing is that from time to time, my psp freezes, and i cant do anything on it. I was wondering if there is any way to restart it by holding different buttens. I have allready tried to hold the power butten in the "off" position for more than 10 seconds and nothing happens. The only way I know how to fix this is to let the battery run out, which is like 3 hours, and i dont want to keep waiting. So any help oin this would be greatly appreciated!
does it happen when u are playing game or just gets frozen in general??
often time when my psp freezes, i just slided up the power button for 5 seconds. if your psp freezes next time, dont take out the battery or u will damage your psp system. i dont think there is other buttons where u can press to restart your psp.
Taking out the battery is not going to hurt it. The only way takin out the battery would hurt is if you were flashing your firmware or flashing anything for that matter. Next time it freezes take it out. But also start watching for a pattern to see if you can find out why it's freezing.
I have had the same problem, it seems to be a bad write of flash0 files. Some how they became corrupt either because they were fragmented or unknown reasons...
First of all when is it freezing, u need to be more specific, because like zdpooman said, try to upgrade and then downgrade, thattwill prob fix everything. But is it freezing out of nowhere or is it freezing when running homebrew or iso's?
Exactly, I did that a while ago, and no freezing anymore. It seems to freeze when the PSP has run out of Physcial Memory to allocate to things.
Such as having too many movies on your PSP and scrolling all the way to the last movie and trying to watch it, that seems to bug up your PSP for a bit.
Another is when something is loading it may seem like its frozen...
I dont want to do that because the psp that I have is my friends, and i dont want to brick it, or anything like that, and im not very experianced with psp's, im more of an iPod person. But thanks anyways.
Oh ya, I did take the battery out and then put it back in and everything was normal, so far, so I guess ill just keep doing that, since it "wont hurt anything"
