I got a ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe Motherboard; when i plug my psp up it a message comes up saying a High-speed device is plugged into a Non-High-speed plug.

I believe this is caused by the drivers........please help if you know what to do to make the port a High-Speed port..... :-)

Just ignore that message you can still use your PSP with your computer, just at a slower speed.

Just go to My Computer and you should see your PSP as a "Removable Drive"

No the only way you can do that is by buying a new motherboard or by buying a USB 2.0 PCI card. You can not just upgrade by updating the drivers.

AGP nor PCI has anything to do with your USB ports. Your mobo supports the new 2.0 standard. Check the manuf website to see if anyone else has this problem or if there is a fix.

PCI does have something to do with USB 2.0.

You can use a USB2.0 PCI Card and enjoy full speed USB2.0, you do not need to buy a new motherboard.

Your motherbaord should have atleast 2 or 3 PCI slots check your motherboard manual.

EDIT;
I checked the page that you posted, your motherboard has 4 PCI slots. Now all you have to see is if there is any spare PCI slots.

NO PCI has nothing to do with USB if he doesnt need it. Dude use google. His mobo supports USB 2.0, he just messed somethin up. Jeez you even searched for it but u didnt check to see if it supports 2.0. Scyther your mobo supports 2.0 USB standard. In fact your mobo should have around 8 USB 2.0 HI-Speed ports. Like I said check ASUS website, good possibility there is a fix.

You can find a BIOS update here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&mo...

And you can find new drivers here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&mo...

But I dont think there are any USB drivers there, Ill keep searchin.

EDIT:

i hate to argue with you hexitnow, but your quote
Quote:

THis is wrong, USB comes from the PCI card, unless its a mobo card.

scyther27 try updating the USB PCI Card
