DVD Decrypter works great and its free (search google). Otherwise Nero/etc. will do the trick if you have it.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

But from other threads things sound way more complex than blindwriting a PS2 disk and burning a backup. Or am i missing summink?

With your modchip, probably 95% of the games require nothing more than making an image of the game and burning the image.

Ah i see so is it normally a problem because people use swapdisks etc? if so then they must be mad to be fair, mod chip is about the price of a new game and installation is only a bit of soldering fun.
Thanks for the info tho.

Cheers m8, i can understand if its a hobbyist thing like crackin CP's on optical media. But for functionality i dont think id fancy it, i wanna just copy my games so that i can put them away safely and the kids can do what they like with the disks (they do what they like with them anyway hence the need for backups! including putting them in the toaster in the case of my last copy of GT4 and making jam sandwiches out of MGS2 substance and final fanatsy 10!! needless to say i keep them away from the X360 lol)

oh yeah one more thing, do things get complicated when DVD9 comes into play? or can you just buy decent dual layer media and carbon copy as normal?

Yeah the discs I use have an MCC code, never had a bad burn.
Best to burn 8x discs at 4x and make sure you dont have anything else running in the background and dont go off surfing the web while your waiting lol, could get read/write errors like that.

Well I think with your chip you can just make 1:1 copies with DDcrypter onto dual layer discs, If that dont work then you will have to flash your chip with toxic DL patcher, the chip guys will sort you out there, The software for that is also in that first link I sent you.
Yep toxic dual layer patcher http://ps2burns.host.sk/tools.html I doubt youll need it.
