Hi guys

I'm having a problem with anyhting related to RunUmd. Ive tried a few different games ( megaman powered up, syphon filter, monster hunter) and nothing seems to work. i have a 1.5 firmware psp with a 2 gig memory stick

ive tried a few different things...... ive tried the REBORN fix for megaman PW ( flallowing the readme step by step) and tried to load them how it says in the FAQ on this forum..... and no matter what i do i get to the blackscreen with the white text, push "x" and after 10 seconds the screen goes black and the power shuts off.

ive also tried syphon filter with various fixes (including the DAX solution) and still i get to that loading screen with the text and a few seconds later the screen goes blackand the power shuts off.

i can run lot of different games with umdemulator and devloader and ( breath of fire, megaman mavrick hunter ) and managed to devhook to the 42a version so i can run street fighter and viewtiful joe.... but it seems like anyhting related to RunUmd gives me the same results.

if you could point me to some tutorial about installing runumd or if you have any thoughts id really really appreciate it!

thanks so much for your time!

probably because you dont have the flash folders in the root. Try these

You dont put flash folders in the root of your memory stick!

You put an X folder containing flash files. Here is an X folder that is compatible with many games:

(The password to the archive is: www.projectpsp.com )

Really? But dont all fixes from PS2NFO come with an X folder that is specific to the game? Sorry if I was bein arrogant and makin u think that i thought i was all knowing.

EDIT

Ok, I checked through the RunUMD readme, and it says this:
Quote:
usage:
For PSP system 1.50 only.
press o to extract system files from umd/flash1 - first time, stored to ms0:/x/
press x to run umd
So yeah, the flash files are stored to the X folder

No, i dont think you are arrogant at all. Just like you said, the X folder contains flash, right? And the X foldr is in the root, right? Point proven. As you well know, the X folder didnt become popular until UMD Emu Run UMD eiditon, which was basically the first attempt at 2.5 emualtion. Up to that point, hybird firmaware (which you have on your site, I know because I have visited it multiple times) was used to boot games such as DBZ and Daxter. Thats all i meant by my post. We were both right, just a bit of confusion.

EDIT

OMG, I have never seen so many folders in my life!!!! Is that a singel print screen? If it is, you really should eliminate 3/4s of that stuff, its hard to figure out the problem with all that in your mem stick.

oh i didnt know that! well i made a folder in the root called "ms0"
and copied the "x" folder inside after that i went to run umd and pushed "o" it extracted the files and then i pushed x and it ran tokobot ( the game i had in the umd at the time) so how do i get it to run megaman powered up?

i tried monting the fixed iso i had in my "iso" folder with umd emulator and go to run umd, but it just did the black screen thing....... any thoughts?

( thanks again for yer help i really appreciate it!)
