All right, the last one is the one I needed. You're still ok. Click on "File", then "Convert File". I don't have a language file on mine; it's all messed up. But I like it b/c I know how to use it! :)
So just convert the file to ISO and it'll be good to go.

Ok still getting error that I have to upgrade to 2.6 to play game
I am using DevHook version 0.41d
I looked back through "our" posts and you had mentioned using 0.42a .. think that's my problem now?
I also tried UMD Emulator ver 0.8c but it just freezes on the UMD Emulator Screen.
I See there is a Dev Hook v0.42b ... should I get that or find 0.42a?

No, you can't use UMDEmu v0.8c. You absolutely have to use DevHook. I only recommended v0.42a b/c it's teh latest and greatest. This thread is so long now, I can't remember if I told you how to set up DevHook. You have to use these settings mostly EVERY time:
UMD SELECT: Select your ISO
UMD MOUNT: ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION: 2.xx->2.00
FIRMWARE: 2.50
CPU CLOCK: 333MHz /166MHz
Don't change anything else. try lauching it.
If this doesn't work, I guess you should start all over again, but this time, copy and paste the PRX files into the PRX folder you found. I say this b/c it sounds like last time you changed the PRX files out WITHIN UMDGen. I have always had good luck w/ copying and pasting the PRX files. svtstang has always had luck swapping them out thru UMDGen. HOWEVER - it sounds like that isn't working for you if that's how you did it the first time.
Hell, you can even use the same ISO you just made. There's nothing wrong w/ it.
Just extract the files again w/ UMDGen. Change the PRX, rebuild w/ VcdromX.
Try this. I am going to smoke right now, so I'll check back in like 15mins.
Good luck.
If you get frustrated, just play the game on your 2.60 for a while! :)

btw, one problem you may be having:
If the PRX files are in the PSP_GAME folder (source) are in all capital letters (as they tend to be for some reason w/ the newest games) make sure the PRX files you are swapping out w/ are in all capital letters, too. They have to match EXACTLY.

Yep I did the Exact name thing ... yeah me I did something right!
I was trying all but the 333mhz setting ... now I tried to run the game, with the Dev hook settings you suggested and it started to load then froze on a game screen.
I'm trying to re-do the whole PRX file replacement now.
Now I can see why people want DevHook to Emu 2.6 so bad :-)

LOL! Yea, 2.60 emu would be sweet! You DO know how to set up DevHook, right? I mean the whole "dh" thing and how you extract files from UMDs? You CAN'T just drop DevHook into your PSP and hope the game will work... I hope you knew that, if not... well, now you do. Just in case: You launch "dh" first and extract files from a v2.50 UMD and then the same for a v2.00 UMD. If you don't have a 2.50 or 2.00 UMD, you're stuck b/c I DO NOT know how to use EBOOT UPDATES to do this. I set mine up from Disc.
Let me know how you make out, mate. I'll be here periodically checking this thread now, as I wanna play some PSP! I got Midnight Club down to 605MB!!!! Yay!

Thanks for all the help (again)
Yeah I think I know how to use Dev Hook .... I've used it in before .. but I've never changed the Mhz settings before.
Also I have DEVHOOK0.41d launcher & devhook firmware installer
Not to sure what the firmware launcher is all about ... it just seems to read the UMD in the drive and scroll a lot of text on the screen
Well the game still locks on a game screen ... I think I'm gonna try to Re-rip it from the UMD ... maybe there was a problem way back then?!?!
Or maybe I'll just try a different game :-)
At least I think this thread ... long it may be ... might help others since you had to "spell" it all out for me ;-)
Thanks again!
Enjoy your Game! ... I'll re-post my results once I re-rip the game again

Thanks for all the help!!!
As for games not listed on the PRX site ... I just use the list of PRX files and just copy the ones I need for other games ... right?
Thanks again!!
Course I'm still looking forward to devhook being able to do 2.6 + that will save a lot of steps ;-)

Congrats, dude!!! I think you have just successfully hacked your first game!
Quote: As for games not listed on the PRX site ... I just use the list of PRX files and just copy the ones I need for other games ... right?
EXACTLY. That's what that site is there for. Just look in your PRX folders everytime you wanna hack a game, find out what you need and hit up the site. Or, if you like, you can save ALL the PRX files to your PC. I have a huge library of 1.50-2.00-2.50 PRX files on my PC.
Again dude, congrats! I know you must be in 7th heaven!
:p
Peace

Tru this fix:
Quote: set the clock at 222Mhz, try to delete and recreate your connection settings, run Windows Checkdisk on your Memstick.
The 2.6 firmware is not designed to run WIFI at 333Mhz, so the fix used with 2.5 firmware should allow certain network functions to run with a 333Mhz clock but with some instability. Better set the clock at 222Mhz or wait for a proper 2.6 fix. It's also recommended to use the 2.5 mode, since it's more stable.

I like the Chaos Repack look of DevHook ... but the version I dl'd seems to have the save game corruption issue. I read that Booster fix it .. anyword on a re-pack by Chaos? and where to get it?
Thanks!
Trying to just replace the PRX file ... hopefully that will do it

Hey, i have followed this tutorial to the letter. I have re-done a "mx vs atv" iso and tried using devhook to launch it. It comes up alright, but it says some crap about "Region Code Incorrect". Is there anyway to get past this??
Thanx Fella's

What version of devhook do you have?
Try using this settings with devhook 0.44:
UMD SELECT- youriso.iso
UMD MOUNT- ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION- 2.XX-->2,70
FIRmWARE- dh\271\
Pre load address: 89000000

Change umd version to
UMD VERSION - 2.xx --> 2.00
And then use this
BOOT SELECT - REBOOT XMB
CPU CLOCK - 222
Devhook .44 allows to emulate 2.71 and we can now play all psp games up to this point. U should be good to go.

I think that syphon p. requires 2.6 fw,so,its better,if you are having compatibility issues using version 0.43 or 0.44.
download it from psphacks.com or ps2nfo.com .
