I am trying to burn a movie for my son-it is 3 hour and one dvd doesn't have enough space on it. What steps do you take to copy it to two dvds?

What movie are you trying to do, DVD Shrink should be able to compress your movie to fit a single layer disk.

In DVD Shrink you need to go into the Re-author mode. Drag the main movie into the upper left box.Right click on the title and select Set Start/ End Frames. Now lets say your movie has 35 chapters. You can choose to backup chapters 1 through 20. Now you can back that up. Now you need to repeat the same steps, this time you would choose to backup chapters 21 through 35. Just be sure to give these backups different names such as MATADOR_01 and MATADOR_02.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

In Shrink-I open disc-then back-up. I have never tried the compression settings. This is a 2 hr. 42 min.-collection of cartoons.

Are you saying that Shrink will not compress this, because it should. Is your output size too big after Shrink transcodes, if so run the file through again it will do that. Make sure you have your settings at DVD5 in your preferences, go to the Edit Tab on the top, choose Preferences and then make sure it is set
