Hey there just wanted to help anyone out if they needed anyone.

Problem:
Well first of all i had received a few games overseas burnt on bad media.They lagged in play and took ages to load. Fifa 2006 did not even load. it would freeze at loading screen. Need For Speed Most Wanted also had a problem but would freeze in middle of game play. I was not aware of this problem. So i did my research and came with a solution. I then Rebuilt my games and burnt them on high quailty orignal verbatim DVD+R discs. They work perfectly...better than origanals....Remember its the media....

1. I used DVD Decrypter to extract the ISO of the game.
http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe

2. I then used Gnie's ExPERT which can be found on this sight or google to Rebuild the game.

3. Then used DVD Decrypter again to burn the Image on to the high quailty media.

You are right! But when a game freezes on the loading screen or anywhere else, the problem could not be the media! Sometimes the game just need to be rebuilded... It can be already on a high quality media before the rebuilding, and it freezes anyway! Remember that!

But you are right! If you want a game working perfectly, burning it on a high quality media is very important!!!
I usually use Sony 8x DVD+R discs @ 4x!! They are very good too!

Yes indeed that is true. But sometimes when you rebuild the game, the size of the file does not realy change in big numbers.

Last night i Burnt the ISO image Of NBALIVE06 and rebuilt using gnies expert the file size changed only by 100MB then i burnt the image onto High Quailty Verbatim DVD+R 8x and b urnt at 4x.

The game runs smoothly until the loading screen on quick match and freezes right before the end when you want to play.

But i am able to play 1 on 1 smoothly.

In my opinion some games shouldnt be rebuilt because they could lose important files.

Sometimes rebuilding a game makes it bigger as well. Gladiator Sword of Vengeance comes to mind.

I never had anykind of problem like that after rebuilding a game...

RAEIS, why don't you try the "old-school way" to rebuild the game, instead using the gnie tool?? Maybe it's the gnie tool that are causing that the file size changed only 100MB, and making it freeze... I dont know, but could be that the problem... or not... =)

Sony CDVDGenerator 2.0. Once you got all the files in there, export the iml file & use Gnie's PS2 IML2DVD v4
Both are available in the downloads section of backupscene, and if you get stuck on rebuilding, there's a noobs guide in the PS2 General forum of the boards at backupscene.
