Ok so i downloaded the 2nd season of the office. I can watch them on winamp and its all good. Now i want to get them to dvd. They are different sizes, not by alot but never the less i can't figure out how to get them all on a dvd. What program should i use to join them? what should i use to convert them to .vob, and what should i use to make an .iso or .bup files for that new joined file? I have used briz video joiner, but i cant get the joined AVI to play with video just sound. PLEASE HELP

I use WinAVI to convert to a dvd_0 file (contains VOB and the hirarchy)
it isn't free but the free demo will allow you do a partial conversion of any supported types(demo has an overlay on the video that says it is a demo)

it will be enough to see if you want to buy it. (WinAVI is the most expensive program I have paid for after I tried it out)

the free route that I have found since buying WinAVI hasn't worked yet so unless you want a set of coasters I won't mention it until i get it to work

as for putting the files topgether, Nero (free upgrade from OEM vrsion that came with the computer) will put them in seperate files and give you the option to have the disk cycle through them from the selected file to the end so you would one click and view the whole disk

note a dvd will only hold two hours, thus two shows, but if you carefully edit them down (they should be about 44 min each) to average 40 minutes then three will be 120 minutes.... two hours

it is possible that you need another codec to get your program to convert the video also. to check this out, download the freeware GSpot at http://gspot.headbands.com/

then just google any codecs that it says are missing from the file you try to render

it is also possible that you have conflicting codec, one is precventing the other from operating... this is why they discourage you from DLing "kitchen sink" codec packages

the only way I know of to fix this problem is to delete the conflict but that is a very complex problem since GSpot has found 172 codecs on my system, I would need to delete all 172 of them then run GSpot, which would then say all the codecs needed for the file and then just DL those codecs

LOL, just tried GSpot and it seems I need the MPG-2 codec...
maybe that is your problem too... run GSpot on your VOB file to see

EDIT: that could be any VOB file, even from an unprotected DVD in your drive

qazwiz is qazwiz everywhere. If you see me say HI!

I recommend you use winavi to do that. This software can support so many formats, and it can do batch converter, can save much time.In the new version,it can allow you merge files into one.You can download a free trial version to try.http://www.winavi.com/avi-to-dvd.htm
