I've dl this from newsgroups and from torrent sites and whenever I burn it at 2x or 4x onto TY, it goes to the RSOD. I've burned over 200 games and this is the only iso that just unsuccessfully burns for no reason. I have a mod chip. Anyone else not able to burn this particular game?
LOL, you probably got that game from me on black-cats. I haven't had any problems with it. Try burning it at half the media's rated speed. BTW, what program are you burning with? If anything, try DVD Decrypter.
I did get that from Blackcats! Best torrent site ever. I Have burnt it at every speed, what is going on here. I use DVD Decrypter 8x TY and i tried 4x and 2x, should I try 8x?
Well, I just checked my copy which I uploaded to black-cats and it booted fine with Swap Magic 3.6. I use Sony DVD+R's.. I've never had TY but I heard they were good but try Sony and see what happens. Since you have 8x discs, burn at 4x with nothing else running in the background. Another hint, if you still have the .rar files, unrar it again and then try burning that iso.. Sometimes, though rare, WinRAR screws up the .iso..
Ok, got that to work, but you didn't happen to upload SW-Battlefront on blackcats? it seems this is a dvd rip and its PAL. So I tried to convert it with paltontsc, but it gives me a not a valid ps2 cd/dvd image" message. I then tried made an iso out of it with magic iso and converted it with adr, but when I went to burn it the ps2 won't read it and it doesn't even get to RSOD.
it looks like its 2.2 gigs. Will ps2's not play rips? Why did this even get uploaded to that site then?
Yeah, ps2 plays rips but if you're getting the "not a valid ps2" disc, I reccommend rebuilding the file with ISO Buster, CDVDGen 2.0 and IML2ISO v4. All these programs can be found in the stickies.
And no, I didn't upload that game to blackcats. Every site I go to having to deal with the ps2 my ID is PS2Menace.
I have a modchip and have never had to rebuild before. when booting its going to the memory card/browser screen first(which tells me something is wrong) and then to RSOD. It just seems like there is something wrong with that file. It just stinks because I can't find a version of Battlefront in NTSC and it can't be converted from PAL
