hey guys. ive looked at other threads and i cant seem to get anywhere lol. i have a tomb raider iso and have used the rip kit to get it to 700mb. i have also swapped the prx's with the street rider ones. then when i launch it via devhook. it doesnt work lol :( can someone give me a pointer on what im doing wrong etc. your help is well appreciated :)

What is the size of the ISO before using the ripkit? What ripkit do you have? If you have a decent ISO to begin with, then you can rip it yourself with umdgen to get it to a size that is suitable to your liking. Tell me more about the original ISO and what settings you used on devhook, and we will get it running.

Try decrypting the eboot.bin. To do this extract the eboot.bin using UMDGen. Then copy it to a folder called crypted in the root of your memory stick. Then run DecryptPRX (download from here:http://mphwebsite.tuxfamily.org/index.php?program=18 ). The eboot.bin in the crypted folder will then be decrypted. Copy this eboot.bin (found in the crypted folder) to your hard disk. And use UMDGen to replace the EBOOT.BIN in the ISO (PSP_GAME\SYS_DIR\)with the one you decrypted.

UMD MODE:ISO ANYUMD is the key I think. In fact that is what I have used for all of my games. I don't know of a reason to change it. Maybe there are some titles which need another, but I don't know it. Also 333mhz will work fine too if you want.

Did you put the EBOOT in a folder called "crypted"?
Try putting crypted in all caps.

Unfortunatly i cant mate, image drive is showing it as an unknown format as its already compressed. .CSO is the file extension.

if i compress my untouched 1.4gb iso to a cso , what do you expect it will shrink to and will it work straight off devhook? thanks

About 700megs or so, see if you can mount it to your drive.
Use Daemon Tools or Nero image drive.
I think its a 2.60 game so you may need to change the prx files with 2.50 files.
