how to play tombraider and Fifa Streets 2 can be played on
firmware 1.5?
i have tried everything even
METHOD 1:
1. After you have obtained a legitimate ISO file, you need to download the following tools:
UMDGen-this allows you to modify a PSP ISO image(download from: http://www.umdgen.com/)
Aeneas Decrypter-This allows you to decrypt Eboot.bin files and PRX files (download from: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=14452, you will need to register first)
Optional: Decrypt PRX-this decrypts PRX files, use this as an alternative to Aeneas Decrypter
(download from: http://mphwebsite.tuxfamily.org/index.php?downprg=1&program=18 )
MPH Game Loader- this allows you to run ISOs (in conjuction with UMD Emulator/DAXZISO Loader) or UMDs that require a firmware over 2.00 on a FW 1.5 PSP.(Download from: http://mphwebsite.tuxfamily.org/index.php?downprg=1&program=19 )
UMD Emulator:This allows you to load the ISOs from your memory stick. (Download from: http://www.psp-hacks.com/download.php?id=405 )
Optional: DAXZISO Loader- This can be used instead of UMD loader, it also allows you to play compressed ISOs.
(Download from here: http://dax.psp-tuts.net/ , here: http://rapidshare.de/files/17797271/DAXZISO_051.zip.html or here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OYZN6XON )
2. Ok, so now that you have everything, unrar the compressed Aenea's decrypter into your PSP\GAME\ folder
(on your PSP memory stick, I'll be assuming you know how to go into USB mode and run homebrew apps throughout this tutorial).
3. Fire up UMDGen and open up your ISO. Browse to PSP_GAME then USRDIR then MODULES. You should see several PRX files there. Extract all of the PRX files into a folder called ENC in the root of your memory stick. Also extract the eboot.bin from the PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\ directory to the same place.
4.Create a folder called DEC in the root of your memory stick.
5.Run Anea?s Decrypter and decrypt the PRX files and the eboot.bin
6.Rename the eboot.bin to boot.bin and replace the boot.bin in PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\ and place all the decrypted PRX files
in the place of their encrypted counterparts, using UMDGen and rebuild the ISO
7.Set up UMD emulator and MPH Loader as explained in the corresponding readmes.
8. Copy the modified ISO into the ISO\ folder in the root of your memory stick.
9. On your PSP, go and launch the UMD emulator.
10. Leave the settings as is, except change the boot method to ?system menu?, and make sure the use boot.bin is ?on?.
11. Scroll down to the ISO and press X. You will be taken back to the PSP Menu. Insert a UMD (any will do) and go to GAME-->Memory Stick and open MPH Loader.
12. Your game will now start!!
METHOD 2:
Same as method 1 but instead of decrypting the PRX files replace them with PRX files from another game requiring a version greater than 2.00.
METHOD 3:
Same as method 1, except replace the PRX files with PRX files from a working v1.5 ISO(s).
Method 1 is the most reliable, yet the most time consuming.
N.B For Very New Games:
So far, one new game (Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast) has hidden PRX files. I do not know what you do for this game, however hopefully another forum member will explain.
Update: New Method 4
After some more researching I found yet another way to run the new ISOS. This method uses a modified version of RunUMD and an ISO patcher, to get the ISOs to work.
1.Obtain RunUMD (modified version), and ISO patcher from here: http://rapidshare.de/files/16887100/Generic_RunUMD_Hack_and_BOOT.... Also download this file: http://rapidshare.de/files/17028377/x.rar.html .EDIT: The password to the archive is www.projectpsp.com. Extract the files from this archive into a folder called X on the root of your memory stick.
2.Extract the contents of the .zip file, to your hard drive.
3.From your harddrive copy the two folders named runumdmod and runumdmod% to your PSP\GAME folder in your memory stick.
4.Obtain umdgen from http://www.umdgen.com. Run UMDGen and extract your ISO onto your memory stick. Delete the file called UMD_DATA.BIN. Your memory stick should have the following folders on it: X, PSP and PSP_GAME (from your ISO).Use the executable file included to patch the boot.bin and eboot.bin file in the PSP_GAME\SYSDIR folder on your memory stick.
5.Insert a UMD and start up the runumd mod on your memory stick, press X
7. Your game should start!
Update Method 5: RunUMD fix
This is similair to method 4, but you have to download a seperate fix for each game. You can download fixes from : http://www.ps2nfo.com When you download a fix, it will normally contain 3 folders, one named X, another named PSP and one other folder (the name differs depending on the game). For now lets call this folder "Y"
1. Download the fix for the game you want to play from ps2nfo
2. Extract the contents of the fix into the root of your Memory Stick
3. Using UMDGen (link to download: http://www.umdgen.com)extract the contents of the ISO you wish to play.
4. Copy all the files from the PSP_GAME folder you extracted except the BOOT.BIN in the SYSDIR (but do copy the EBOOT.BIN) directory into the "Y" folder on your memory stick(mentioned before)
5. So now on your memory stick you should have a folder called X, which has some PRX files etc. in it, two folders in your PSP\GAME folder (one with a % and without a %) and you should have all the files you extracted from your ISO in the "Y" folder (except SYSDIR\BOOT.BIN, you don't need to copy this file as the fix includes a patched version of this file, if you overwrite the ptached BOOT.BIN the game will not work)
6. Insert any UMD into your PSP.
7. Go to GAME--->Memory Stick on your PSP and scroll down untill you should see an icon for the game ISO, highlight it and press X (O if your PSP is Asian or Japanese). Press X (or O) again.
8. Your game will start!
UPDATE: METHOD 6: UMDEMU-->RUNUMD
For this method you need the UMD Emulator RunUMD edit (download from:http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/427 ). You will also need this file:http://rapidshare.de/files/17028377/x.rar.html . (The password for the archive is: www.projectpsp.com )
1. If the ISO you have was previously patched for Method 4/5, then use the unpatcher (from here:http://rapidshare.de/files/17730561/RunUMD_BOOT.BIN_UNPatcher.rar.html) to unpatch the BOOT.BIN/EBOOT.BIN files, then use UMDGen (download from: http://www.umdgen.com) to rebuild the ISO.
2. Install the UMD EMulator RunUMD edit as explained in the readme. Extract the x.rar file onto the root of your memory stick.
3. Start UMD Emulator and keep all the settings the same, except change the mode to "Load RunUMD"
4. Scroll down to the name of your ISO and press X
5. RunUMD will load, press X once again and your game will start!
