I backed this game up with Sony dvd-r's at 4x like most of my games that do work but I got to the level called boys in blue and it just freezes while loading. I'm using swap magic 3.3 on a v9 ps2. Please help me out.

Listen mate you didnt even need to go as far as the search button, read the stickies there are at least 2 threads that cover your problem.
ALWAYS go to the stickies first. I honestly dont know why i bother anymore. to be honest the last 50 threads that iv answered to, have been covered a thousand times.
I'd understand if someone has a unique problem that no one has come across before but people are just slamming there noobish questions straight on to the forums whereas if theyd looked just a few lines above they would have found the answer to there prob in the stickies - i mean, each sticky is in bold writing how can you miss it, that is the sole purpose of them, so that people are not repetitively answering the same questions over and over again

Which forum because I just wasted time manually searching each and every page that was in a stickied post? Even searched for Warr... Maybe if people would simply give answers and not criticize or assume then people might learn something and things may not need to be repeated so often.

im sorry my friend but what you need to 'learn' is that you can't get everything on a plate, okay i appreciate that everyone, even i was a noob once, but to me it was common sence to read the stickies
i can definitely see two threads in those stickys, that will solve your problem, okay the sticky may not be labelled with the individual name of your game but they will solve your problem, because almost each and every game has the same resolution. The problem with your game is that it freezes, then all you need to do is have a look at the titles off the stickies to see which one resolves games that freeze.

It's not the SAME problem. It freezes at exactly the same spot every time I tried 2 sources so far and 3 differenttypes of media. Last thing I can think of is to just rent it and copy it or just buy the damn thing. Sucks to get 75% done or so and not be able to finish it ><.

lisen klocs
it IS the same problem, if it freezes at any point during the game whether it is at the same point or not you have had a problem which is exactly the same to what maybe every single person on these forums have ever had, even i have had games that froze, and i followed the steps that evry other member to these forums took and my games no longer froze, why? because i had the same problem and so do u. YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS EVERYONE ELSE, so DO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES to solve the problem

So my Sony dvd-rs are bad? tested with Nero tools and theyre listed as the best you can get with taiyo yudens and maxells. ALL other games work fine with the same media. No choppy video whatsoever.

If all your going to do is be ignorant and assume I haven't read/tried everything possible then please stop wasting time/bandwidth. I simply asked for help on a specific problem, if all you want to do is flame then you can at least try and sound intelligent in the process... might earn ya some more respect.

for your information i dont need respect from noobish characters such as yourself. if youve read the whole sticky or the part that was relevant to you, you would no that bad media is not the only thing that affects freezing. im not saying that you have bad media but there are also other factors that affect freezing.
now my advise to you jimmy boy is 'carry on reading'

Done reading I'm just going to go and buy the game. Yeah I might be new to ps2 but I got 930+ PS1 games sitting here reminding me how long I've been doing this crap. So I guess my point is... lighten up man lol. Not trying to start a war here or make any enemys just loooking for help is all.

I really did search/try everything I could think of before asking. I was seeing if anyone (willing to help) has had the same problem as me at the same spot in the game. Nothing more, nothing less. I know enough to know to burn slower, burn faster, burn with xxx prgram or xxx program.. etc. etc. Next to taking apart the whole thing and recalibrating my laser I feel my only option is to give the developers money for a game I feel they deserve to be compenated for in the first place.

I used to run a psx channel on mIRC awhile back and yea we had the "noobs" asking the same ol questions 24/7, easiest way to deal with them was to point them towards a faq and say to get to reading. Troll them and you create more problems then its worth.. thought it can be fun at times.. lol.

I'll leave it at that, sorry if I came across rude or anything, it's 9 a.m. here and damn FF12 won't let me sleep.

it doesnt matter if you created the goddamne ps1, the ps2 is a whole different animal it is completely different. SO okay, did you read the whole sticky well why not put it into practice and see if you get the same problem. because i know for a fact, i will write it on paper, i bet my mortgage on the fact that if you do EVERYRHING the sticky tells you to do your game WILL work.
but this is the nature of such people. they want all the answers to the exam paper, they want there dinner in a plate, hello.. i bet you havent even read the sticky. First, read the sticky do as it says if you still have problems then holla at me and ill see igf i can make you a jam sandwich
hope this helps, no honestly i do

Try just using one of the PS2 ISO rebuilders in Gnie and see if that works

I let it rebuild the dir and wad files, now.. can I turn it into an iso file with iso buster? Or maybe just burn it in Nero as iso 9660?

it should rebuild the whole Iso for you...
I don't have the game myself.. It was just a suggestion since I seen there was a rebuilder for it... I know when I use the Shrinker part of Gnie it rebuilds the whole ISO

Open the program.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

is how I do it ... I don't know if it works the same with other plugins or not..

Looks like it may just rebuild the WAD and Dir so yeah I'd go and Create a ISO with Isobuster and burn it and see what happens

I've looked for a patch Specific for Swapmagic for it but I can't seem to find one for Warriors

Iso buster making an iso thats only 1.39 gigs when the original was 4 and the rebuild didnt remove anything from the files it worked on. Too scared to burn it and too tired to mess with it anymore. Thanks for your help anyways but I give up on this one.. reminds me of the save fix patches for tokyo extreme racer 2 on DC... too hard for me to mess with.
