TIPS FOR ME TO BUY PSP?

I wish to buy a PSP, and last sat I went to shop and queries.
The shop said they got PSP 1.5 US version, they can upgrade it to 2.0 for me and after upgrading, my PSP will consist of 2 filmwares, is this true? Please give me some advise as I wish to join thw PSP world! Thanks!
They said PSP 1.5 Version + 2 GB memory stick cost about S$655.00, expensive or fair price?

it wont contain 2 firmwares, thats a lie. However 2.0 has the potential to be a 1.5 if downgraded.
and no 655 for a psp and a 2gb is not a good price at all.
you can get a psp and a 2 gb for $400 and even that is a bit over priced.

If you cant get a 2.0 PSP , 2.01 is fine as long as you have a homebrew friendly copy of GTA. YOu psp can be upgraded to 2.5 then downgraded to 1.5

I think he was just letting the guy know that he didn't have to spend tons of cash on a 1.50 or 2.00 when anything up to 2.60 is okay now.

hey, i bought a used 2.6 psp for $160CDN, then downgraded when Dark_Alex brought it out. SO buy a cheap 2.6 then just downgrade!

i was lucky, i bought a psp off ebay for $180 which is £100 for me :) the guy didnt know what fw it was but when it came she was a virgin 1.5 :D

was that 2.6 psp you downgraded a factory 2.6 or did u upgrade it to 2.6 then downgrade it.

i guess it was a upgraded 2.6 because the mobo didnt have that TI thing.
And it looked used, becasue 2.6 was new at the time. But it worked anyway. There has been successe in the factory 2.6 though.

if i bought a psp from the market and downgraded to 1.5, will it cause any problem to the psp? And is there any difference between japanese and USA edition?
Where can I get a good bargain of PSP in the market?

downgrading is safe.
check pawn shops. They might have a few.
