yes, as long as you have a big enough memory stick and the right loader and patcher.

What firmware does that require?

You can use DevHook to launch new UMDs.

You wont be able to play UMD's that were intended for aything higher then 1.5. For instance splinter cell needs 2.6 and itll say you need to upgrade.If you use devhook launcher then you can play 2.5 UMD's. Almost all games can be played tho with the right patching, but you gotta make a rip of it, which both aren't very hard. Any questions just ask :)

So, is there a way to play Firmware 2.6 UMDs on DevHook emulating Firmware 2.5?

I don't have any, but I was just wondering.

Oh thats crazy ive never heard of that loader. I know with devhook u can load up to 2.5, and if you have a rip of the UMD you can patch practically anything to work with that.

@eternalis
Yes there is a way as i have splinter cell running on 2.5 and that needs 2.6. I also think loco roco needs 2.71 and i have also got that one to work with devhook.

@hex - loce roco is 2.61

@eternalis - 2.5 is the highest firmware that devook can support with respect ot UMDs. This might all be false with the .43 release, i dunno about that yet.

2.61
Was that a typo?

Yeah, the new 0.43 does run 2.6 UMDs. But someone said that they were lagging a bit.
