Having trouble burning a backed up PS2 game

I've been looking through the forums to find a way to rip/burn PS2 games so eventually I found this: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/353503
I followed the DVD Decrypter way and everything went smoothly untill I was going to burn it. I got this following error message:

I tried burning it with different speeds and other programs like Alcohol 120%, Clone CD and Nero, but I still get an error message saying either "Forbidden disc" or "Wrong format" or something like that. I'm using regular DVD-R discs to trying to burn the game onto. Would really appreciate any help or advices.

What exactly do you mean by regular DVD-R? You'll want to try to use high quality DVD-R 8x for backing up PS2 gamse :)

well it says incompatible format - so are you sure your burner can write to DVD-R? that's a fairly old burner now so it might be that it can't write to the -r format.

According to this website it can do DVD-R :)

I'm going back to my question - what do you mean by regular DVD-R? Also check that your firmware is up to date

The game is Guitar Hero, and by regular DVD-R discs I mean Philips DVD-R discs; http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/catalog/catalog.jsp?fhqu...
Just last week my brother sent me an X-Box game he wanted me to burn and that worked without a problem when I used Nero.
