I am now using Nero 7 Ultra edition and I am trying to burn a concert DVD. On this particular concert, I decided to get fancy and put in chapters where the songs begin. When it is played back, the sound is not synched to the movie. What am I doing wrong? I slowed the burn rate to 1x, but made no difference.

Hi breandanc...it's likely a settings thing you overlooked, and you should be able to get things synch'd properly.

Some more info would be nice. Do you have a DVD that already has VOB (VTS) files on it...or are you converting from some other format to VOB's? And...what module are you using...Recode or Vision?

These are all .VOB files that I have downloaded from bittorents. I am really not sure what I am using in Nero. I am just opening up the app, and then going to the 'make your own DVD' menu. Once that is opened, I merged all the .VOB files, although there are other files that I don't know what to do with, such as VIDEO_TS.IFO; VIDEO_TS.VOB; and a .BUP.

Despite leaving those out, the newly created file plays well, it just gets out of synch with audio and video once it has been burned and manually adding chapters in between the songs. I really don't know what I am doing to tell the truth.

What you are doing is really the best way to learn.

I usually choose the module I want to use. Each module also has a pdf manual that can be downloaded from the Nero site.

Anyway, I think you might be starting out in Recode...and using the choice "Compile a DVD." There are 5 buttons on the far right...and the third one down has a padlock on it that says Lock Ratio. If you use this option it will keep everything in synch.

Great. Thank you for the reply. I'll try that and read up on the manuals.
