Hey there guys...ive been usin this forum alot lately and found the answers to pretty much every question i have asked so far...untill now!
basically i have the iso for fifa worl cup 06 but it comes up to 1.2 GB wen i only have a 1gb stick (which in total only really gives me about 980 mb or something) i was wondering if theres a way to compress my iso and still play it? im willing to rip it and get rid of the movies and/or music however im not really sure how to do this.
i use alchohol 120% to mount the iso onto a virtual drive and had a browse through and dont have a clue what the movie files are or the sound files as they all have wierd extensions.
thanks alot in advance!
your friend...cleanboy

Hey,
Get UMDRipper and dummy the .pad files (they will be on the dummy tab)
You can also dummy eapocketrax through UMDripper it has quite a friendly GUI....

you can compress it with dax creator and play with dax zizo 0.62(Direct LoadExec, ram allocation:on )
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/498 But this is basic knowledge, you should try google sometimes:P.

thanks...i tried using the DAXZiso but not having much luck seeing as its not 2.00 firmware or lower :S
i mainly use the new devhook 0.41d for emulation...with this u canemulate the 2.5 firmware system menu...basically is there way i can mount the game with dax zizo and then somehow launch the 2.5 firmware system menu and simply run it from there?

After you dummy the pad files using UMDRipper...Replace all the PRX's by Dragon Ball Z: SB's PRX's, build the ISO using UMDGen and launch using Devhook 0.41d..with firmware 2.5, 2.xx--->2.00 or you will get a 2.6 error and the rest of the settings are prety basic....hope this helps...
Oh ya and by the way World cup ONLY launches with Devhook

Why dont you just compress it into a CSO (the compressor comes with DevHook)

does it? i mean in the tools folder i got wen downloading devhook 0.43 theres an application called ciso which i assume does the compression and turns it into a CSO however apon clikin on it, it only briefly opens up another window (looks like DOS) and then closes again...no readme, no options, no nothing...

BTW You can also dummy the movie files that you dont need. For example dummy the ending ones when you are starting the game. Then when you get to the end you can put them back in and dummy the beginning ones.
Just look for PMF files in your ISO (these are the movie files), and then replace the ones you dont need with a blank PMF file (look for this at http://www.ps2nfo.com )
