ive aquired a v2.5 (from new) psp with i believe a IC9001 mobo. (although this isn't stamped on the top right but in the middle(ish) of the mobo slightly hiden by the umd drive.)
Can i downgrade using the popular method?

ive never heard of that motherboard but it must be fine becuase the only one that isint supported is the Ic1003

my other psp has the same IC9001 board and that was a 1.52 originally and i downgraded to 1.5 no probs.

i was also a 1C9001 white eu factory 2.6 psp and i downgraded fine and yes the 1C9001 is hidden behind the umd drive on the left and you can just read the bottom half of 1C9001, so yes it should work fine.

Use this Easy 2.60/2.50 to 1.50 downgrader from PSP-hacks.com
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/605
All you have to do is run the .exe on windows and it will guide you step by step on how to downgrade (also has all nessary files to downgrade)..

It worked from start to finish in about 3 minutes!!#
