Hi

I have a 2.01 firmware version of PSP, and have kept it at this version hoping it would be able to be downgraded in the future... It now seems that a 2.5/2.6 method has appeared. Which is great, but how do i down grade 2.01???? As if I upgrade, the only version i can find is 2.71 Can someone tell me if I need to upgrade to 2.5? Also where can i get it from. Also where do i get the 1.5 firmware from. As all the forum seem to contadict each other...

They dont necessarily contradict each other, u just gotta read between the lines. In order to downgrade your 2.01 psp you will have to upgrade to 2.5 then use the downgrader which enables you to use 1.5 This site will have the necessary updates and downgrader files for you to accomplish this. all the files u need basically.

Yeah you can't use firmware 2.01 as it doesn't allow kernel mode access via the eloader using the new exploit. But firmware 2.5/2.6 does.

Yeah basically do what hexitnow said. You can find any firmware in the Firmware section in the Downloads at PSP-Hacks.
