There's any problem if I make a new dummy (1 bite) and overwrite in the old one (600MB)?
I made a backup of Smackdown vs RAW 2006 with a new dummy and I rebuilted the ISO, the game work fine but it freeze sometimes and I have to shake my PS2 to work...

Somebody here who have a backup of this game please tell me how you make the backup to work... thnx

another question... Can the DVD be the problem?
I'm using Maxell DVD-R 8x... the dvd cover is golden and the media is purple..
and my modchip is Matrix Infinity v1.8...

thnx again =/

I rebuilt mine for swap magic and I have no problems,
Maxell is generally high grade media.
I always use +r myself and booktype to dvd-rom.
Maybe your burn speed could have been too fast?
I always recommend burning no more than 1/2 the maximum
speed of the disk.
(4x burn speed on 8x max media).

I have no problems with the rebuilt SDVRAW 2006?
Did you use CD/DVD gen to rebuild and DVD Decrypter to burn?
Those would be my final recommendations.

most likely the media that is the problem.
Or the speed that you burned the game
8X DVD's should be burned with DVD Decrypter at 4X

Jizmak, which DVD do you use?
I burned it on 4x with DVD Decryptor.
My game is NTSC... the name of the ISO is SVR2006-REBUILD.iso, but I think there's no problem with the iso name...
There's all the things I did to rebuild the game:

I extracted all the files from the original iso.

The original ISO have a 600 mb dummy, I overwrited it with a 1 byte dummy, OK.

I opened CD/DVD (I don't remember if was the CD gen or DVD gen -.-" )and put all the folders in the exactly position.

I put the SLUS and all the other things and finished, than I opened Apache 2. I loaded the .iml file (((cd/dvd gen created this file))) and made the new ISO and burned it with DVD Decryptor on 4x speed...
The game work but freeze sometimes... the announcers don't say nothing I have to shake the PS2 to the sound work...

My original game is f**ked up, that's why I need the backup, I really love this game..

Thnx for your support and if you need more info just tell me...

Take a look on these pictures... it's the PAC folder:

This is the ORIGINAL pac folder:

Take a look at the order of the files...

Now the rebuilted ISO (PAC folder):

I want to know something... You downloaded the game?

And tell me what you did to make a backup of the game in step-by-step please..
thnx ;]

The original ISO file is all you need to burn this game. It works even with the dummy file (which is there to push the game further to the edge of the DVD for the Titantron video's). Since you did the dummy file to 0kb, you need that dummy file back. Unrar the .rar files again and burn with good media with DVD Decrypter at half the media's speed. I posted a pic of the original ISO file order a long time ago, if you want that, let me know.

Thnx I'll try that.
But... I don't need rebuilding?
And yeah I want to see the pic.. thnx again

---------------------------------------

3.95 GB games need rebuilding???

SvR2006 NTSC have a 3.95 gb iso (with the 600 mb dummy)... so I don't need rebuilding? o_o'

----------------------------------------

another thing I've just saw..:

Dummy Files:
Some games have dummy files in them. They are used to increase the
size of the image and to copy-protect the game. Burning games with the
dummy files left unchanged will result in a game that does not boot
(using swap magic anyway). To remedy this annoyance follow these fun
steps.

What I have to do with this 600mb dummy....???

I am not sure as i have a modchip and i do not have to rebuild any games.
But some dummy files do need removing while others do not.
Have you tried just burning the game strait up and seeing if it works?
a 3.95GB game is fine, it is when it reached about 4.5GB and over that most people rebuild them.

I don't have nothing to do anymore so I'll burn it right now =|
