I just set up a new comp and after installing Azureus, I noticed that the peers are different that's listed on the Peers tab between the new and old comps.
To run a test to be sure I set up Azureus correctly on the new machine, I downloaded the same file on the new comp that was downloading on the old comp (file size is only 711mb). On the older comp, I'd have as many as 8 peers listed, while on the new comp, I'd have only 3-4 max, and only 2 of those peers were the same (my comps are shown for 1, plus one other IP).
Why is there the discrepancy in peers between the 2 machines? Both comps are setup identically, WinXP Pro with all updates, current Azureus client with all options the same (went through them one by one between both comps), TCP/IP.sys fix on both comps, each machine has its own port configured and open for downloads. NAT button at the bottom is green on both, my downloads generally fly since I switched from BitComet to Azureus.
Total Connected Peers. When you double click on the torrent file, it brings up another set of tabs, the 2nd one being "Peers".
Right now on the older comp there's 3 connected peers, only 1 on the newly setup comp. At one point during the day there were 14 on older comp, and only 6 on the new comp.
Maybe this is normal for torrent downloads to be connected to different peers? I've never run a test like this before.
