Hi, I was reading some forums at ps2nfo.com and some people said they sucsessfully downgraded factory 2.5/2.6 PSPs. I hava a TA-082 factory 2.5 psp which i upgraded to 2.6, do you think my PSP will have any chance of a succsessful downgrade? My PSP is still under warranty from Ebay games becuase I bought it 2 days ago so i believe i can return it if it gets bricked.

are u serious that factory psps v2.6 can go to v1.50???????

a read a few pages and some people claimed they downgraded succsessfully but i am not 100% sure if it is possible yet.

Im new to this..i got my psp last xmas and had 2 update to 2.6 to play madden...Im not sure what version it was originally. I went into my system setting and it just says software version2.60. Im at a lost. what's the deal. how can i tell what I need to do to play them. I also have a 1G stick...need some assistance.

my mobo is fine its IC6001 so no probs on the 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader' download page it says
'Your PSP CANNOT be a factory 2.50/2.60 PSP! It had to have been updated once before from a previous version or the downgrader will not work, thus a brick'
if i update my factory v2.5 to v2.6 then run 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader' will this result in bricking my psp or a successful downgrade?
If any people out there that have successflly downgraded a factory 2.5 psp please reply!!

it will work, my friend nick has a factory 2.5 and upgraded to 2.6 and downgraded and it all worked fine. Just need GTA, the eloader for gta, and a power supply, and the downgrade files, you migh think that it failed when you look at the ms light not flashing at first, but then it starts going again on and off. Hopefully everything goes well witht that, i have a factory 2.01, and upgraded to 2.6 and downgraded, i'm really glade i didn't upgrade to 2.71, cuz devhook emulates it.

Yeah i downgraded my factory 2.5 with no probs , with the original downgrader not the easy. Btw lbjaredu i heard TA-082 will not allow the mobo to run any previous versions than your factory 2.5 but dont quote me i may be wrong but it does sound believable

I think only PSP whos motherboards are branded IC3001 wont work. When using the Easy Downgrader is shows you how to check it before you begin.

Yeah your right but thats the TA-082 Mobos, Thats just how their identified. Although theres some word on the sites that IC6001 are also an indicator of the TA-082 PCB's

when you say brick...meaning lock up? If I downgrade having a psp with IC6001 on the motherboard..then will be able to use the Dev 2.6 emu sucessfully..also is there link for the downgrader? and the term gta is what? very new to the lingo..

well GTA is Grand Theft Auto (youll need an unpatched version)

If you have a mobo with IC6001 then your advised not to downgrade

Do not downgrade your psp if it is TA-082, I will guarantee 100% that you will brick it. If you have an none TA-082 factory 2.5, 2.6 you can downgrade them to 1.5 without no problems done about 10 of them myself

If anything i think i might have a better chance becuase i have a older Ta-082 (im not sure if they chnged at all) and my PSP was upgraded from 2.5 to 2.6.

ibjaredu let me know what happens.ultimately its my choice but tam2oo5 you say not to downgrade if you have a IC6001 and hodgins91 says that it should be fine...who is right?

Well i can confirm that i was mistaken and IC6001's should be fine to downgrade , sorry for the inconvenince

Any 2.5,2.6 factory or not,that doesnt have the TA-082 board, should be completely fine to downgrade

now with that out of the way after i downgrade it can i run the Dev 2.6 emulator....and still play madden 06(UMD)? and play UMDs with games that i have already downloaded from my memory stick?
