DVD+R dual layer headache!!

Hey everyone. I have been pulling my hair out with a DVD+R that I am trying to burn. It is about 5.3gb. Therefore, I know it won't fit on a single layer disc. A friend told me about the double layer discs and I thought I would give it a try. However, now, all I keep getting is failure! I saw on one of the forums here about the 2 upgrade packages that could be necessary. Before I downloaded those, I was getting a "session error" that said it could not complete the end the disc-at-once burn (I think that is how it was worded). Anyway, after the downloads, I am just getting burn failure. The log is as follows:
