I downloaded monster hunter freedom, and I tried playing it in devhook and umdemu, and when it gets to the first loading screen the game freezes and my psp shuts off,What could be causing this?

What settings are you using?

Try using the pre-load address of 89000000

Do you have the pre-packaged DevHook from here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/25491856/DevHook_0.43_ENG_FULL_v3_333M...

Copy the dh folder to the root of your memory stick and the dh_eng and dh_eng% folders to your PSP\GAME folder.

Also do you have a UMD inserted?

change Dh\250 to Dh\260 by selecting firmware 2.6 in the firmware menu.

Also, why is the ISO Tokobot? I thought you wanted to run Monster Hunter Freedom.

Tokobot runs with just UMD Emulator + MPH Gameloader (it will not work with DevHook)

Try changing the pre-load address to 08xE000000 (or something like that).

Also if you can't get it to work with DevHook

Use RunUMD UMD Emulator from PSP-Hacks (with the X folder from the downloads section of eternal-psp.vze.com, in the root of your memory stick)
