hi, i am completely new to using emulators and such on the ds lite
so could you please help me with a few questions
1) where is the cheapest/most trust worthy place to purchase a m3 mini sd + passcard3?
2) are there any value deals that u know of that include a mini sd card+m3 minisd+ passcard 3? ( i saw one on modchipman.com for 130USD)
3)for the passcard3 is it always required to be in my dslite when i use my m3?
4)do GBA roms work as well as NDS roms on the m3?
5)which is the best mini sd card to get (im looking for 1GB)

1)Cheapest - Winsunx.com
Most trust worthy (in my opinion) www.divineo.net

2)Not that I know of.

3)It has to be inserted to load the M3, but can be taken out after, though you lose sleep mode if you do. You can also use Flashme which requires the Passcard only once, so that you can install it.

4)Yes, perfectly.

5)Don't know, wait for someone who has a miniSD to answer this.

1) agreed with hanky, i got mine from realhotstuff they were fast but more costly (link to set i bought at bottom)

2) there are plenty of passcard3 + M3 miniSD combos from the above sites, and you can hit up newegg or buy.com for miniSD. modchipman is very backordered on the full set, but its the only place i found with the full set as well.

3) GBA mode, which includes the NES and other "stock" emulators, doesnt require a passcard at all (i just tested). It does need to be in for everything else, which includes NDS and homebrew apps like moonshell. trust me though, once you stick that passcard in, you will rarely take it out :)

4) sure do. plus when you are playing a GBA game, you can hit L+R+A+B and bring up a menu that will let you save the exact spot you are in on the game and a cheat code list, where you can turn on/of codes while in game. the M3 game manager even comes with a very nice stock of cheat codes for nearly all games.

5) i got a Kingston 1gig that has worked flawless for me and came with an adapter to make it normal SD, so its a lot easier to find a reader for. I'm not sure if all miniSD comes with that adapter or not. there is also a link at the bottom for a miniSD compatablitly list, so if you find a nice cheap one check the list and make sure it gets a 5 on the castlevaina test.

6) dont forget you need a SD reader/writer

Here is the stuff i bought from the places i used. use your own discrimination
