The success rate of psp's with the TA-082 board should be 0% due to the hardware blacklisting anything below 2.50.
aye aye man

There is something built into the TA-082 board's hardware telling it not to use any firmware below 2.50.

Oh , I have never heard of that but it sounds like that would be the problem.
Does anyone know what the chip on the motherboard looks like that has the firmware on it
Alot of connectors are broke on my 1.5 motherboard but if i swapped the chips i wonder if i would have 1.5 again

my mobo is fine its IC6001 so no probs on the 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader' download page it says
'Your PSP CANNOT be a factory 2.50/2.60 PSP! It had to have been updated once before from a previous version or the downgrader will not work, thus a brick'
if i update my factory v2.5 to v2.6 then run 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader' will this result in bricking my psp or a successful downgrade?
If any people out there that have successflly downgraded a factory 2.5 psp please reply!!

yeh but in terms of kb its way tooo big
it shoud be around 50kb and yours is well over 100kb and this can ve very annoying for people on psp browser, like me sometimes, or on dial-up.

Well if the chip blacklist's the 1.5 firmware, in the downdater folder couldn't you just drop in the flash file that makes it think it's a 2.5. Considering you dont run the actual 1.5 eboot. Do u guys get what i'm saying?

That might work. Does anyone now what file that is? As thier is a great chance i will brick my PSP anyways i might as well try it.
EDIT**Can anyone tell me how to extract the data files of EBOOTs. I was thinking i might be able to see what file is patched when you use a version changer.

I do have 1 mobo thats 1.5 or 2.0 I beleive. But that connector that is soldered to the mobo which charges the battery broke off. So the only way to use that mobo is resolder it or just play with the charger in. Right now for extra parts i have that mobo, faceplate (stock), the switches that have the power slider, basically the whole inside of a psp minus the LCD and LCD housing. Here in the next couple days I'll have 2 more psp's in and I'll be rippin those to shreads. My friend steve from minnesota is sending me a brick. And some guy here in the forum is sending me a brick also. So within the next week and a half I should have about 4 more psp's.

Well i always try to beat sites prices by a few dollars. I think the cheapest one I have found is like 40 bux. So like 30-35 + shipping. I am always willing to negotiate or make a trade.
