Once the psp hits 2.8X is all the fun wit emulating firmware over?

It depends if hackers like Dark_Alex and Booster are able to decrypt/hack the next firmware or not. But Sony are probably already planning a new type of encryption to use on their next firmware, due to the relase of this new DevHook.

Not necessarily. We prolly wont be able to play 2.8 games for awhile...if ever. But atleast we still be able to play older 2.71 or lower games. Eventually someone will find an exploit in it, or someone will be able to decrypt the .prx files and emulate the FW. Only time can tell. Whats everyone elses opinion?

Yes, sony plans to make a PSP-2 from what I have heard, however, it will be similar to the Playstation 2/PSX so it will probably be a few years down the road.

Not necessarily. Wait until Firmware 2.8 or whatever comes out first! You never no, some great hacker may come along and figure out a way to decrypt it.
