Hi im using AnyDVD with CloneDVD sometimes when i backup my dvds they look a bit dark when i play them back. Is there anyway to brighten them up??

I don't know if there's an option to adjust constrast or color since I don't use Clone DVD. I don't like Trasncoders because among other things, they mess with colors sometimes.
If I always hear voices surrounding me, does it mean Im crazy or that I hear in Dolby 5.1?

There are no settings in CloneDVD to alter the brightness.
When CloneDVD says transcoder disabled you are getting the exact quality as the original.
The movies that are comming out dark do they need alot of compression?
Clonedvd2 is not the best transcoder when it comes to picture quality, Nero recode (and shrink free) does a much better job, with the right settings.
Personally I use DVD-RB Pro with Procoder2
The only way to brighten the picture is to use your TV remote control.

If you want better picture quality, then yes. (make sure you set it up properly)
I always recommend to play the video files on your pc before burning to make sure there is no problems with the playback.

If using DVD Shrink make sure you select the "Perform Deep Analysis" annd "Compress Video with High Quality" under the Quality settings tab.
Personally, I'd drop Clone DVD and invest $30 on DVD Rebuilder.
If I always hear voices surrounding me, does it mean Im crazy or that I hear in Dolby 5.1?

yes turn up the brightness.
first time i heard this...
movies are not dark when using CloneDVD,and shrink is not better then clone..and i done meny movies then most with clone and shrink.......
as viewed on a 42 inch,the brill is the same with the back up as the original...and i am not the only one who made this statement over the years.
i would like to find out if the original is brighter

Ireland,
CloneDVD is only good for low compression anything above 20% you start noticing flaws like noise, blockiness etc..etc.. as where shrink you can go much higher without these flaws.
I have done many tests with transcoder and encoders and I'm not just talking about taking stills, and the results everytime is that CloneDVD is just not good enough compared to rest of the competition.
sanecrazy,
hermes_vb meant deep analysis with AEC set to max smooth (depending on compression levels)
P.S I do not want to start a debate about which transcoder / encoder is better, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. ;)

I second that. Whatever way you decide to go, there are better products than CloneDVD out there, and some of them are Free (like Shrink). I don't want to start a war between the Encoder and Transcoder fans either. For me an encoder does a better job mostly because I have a BIG screen TV and you notice flaws more. If you have a smaller screen, you won't notice them as much.

only program i seen that has better Q then CloneDVD was platinum rf v40415 and platinum rf v5.0.0.13
which are on my computer now..
