When making copies of ps2 games I used to use Memorex, but almost everytime I made a disc it skipped, or didnt work...After reading the media post on this board, I decided to but Verbatim media instead...after 3 or 4 attempts at the Verbatim, my ps2 (I use swap magic) keeps saying invalid ps2 disc. Does anyone know why these Verbatims aren't working?

Hey there. You need to give some more details i think.
What speed did you use to burn them?
What discs are they? DVD-R or DVD+R?
Are they the real deal? Use dvd identifier to get the Media id and post it here.
Memorex from what i know aren't really recommended in ps2 backups.

they are DVD-R....im not sure if they're legit but I bought them from Best Buy...and for some reason my computer only lets me burn at 1x

Get the media code from them, a good one would be
MCC02RG20
I have stopped bying them in retail stores because you really can't get any decent media for a good price. I started buying all mine online at Supermediastore.com which guarantee's that their media is 100% authentic. Then i can get the top of the line DVD's like
Taiyo Yuden for 32.99 for a 50 pack.

another thing that normally doesn't work well is if they are inkjet printable type with the wite tops. Other than that they should work.
Does your burner have the most up to date firmware that is available?
