Use your demo disc to update to 2.0
To downgrade from 2.0 here is what you do.
You are going to need this file
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/3 and this file
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4 1. Take the h.dat and the index file and put them in your root folder(next to psp and umdemulator)
2. Take overflow.tiff and put it in your PSP/Photo Menu.
3. Make a new folder in your PSP/GAME CALLED UPDATE. Put the 1.5 upgrade in there.
4. Go to your photo menu, and press down. You should see a black screen with white letters. If not turn your psp off and try again. do not downgrade til you see the black screen with the white letters, this is a very important step
5.After you see the black screen with the white letters wait 30 seconds turn you psp off and turn it on again, Go to the game menu through your PSP and click the 1.5 update. make sure your psp is plugged into the charger. Do not remove the charger at anytime, Do not remove the battery, Don't do anything but press X to start the downgrade
Your psp is going to get to 99% and say that the update failed. This is perfectly normal. Wait 30 seconds after this happened and turn your psp off.
6. Turn your psp back on its going to say an error happened. This is normal as well. Just rebuild your psp like it instructs you to do.
7. You now have a 1.5 psp

Upgrade to 2.6 if you can....using the 2.6 Easy Downloader is alot easier if you're new to all this.
Give us a shout if you need any help !

But if you did upgrade to 2.6 then you would need a copy of GTA to be able to downgrade again....I always forget that bit, ha.
Just follow Joevas instructions and you'll be fine. Ive done several PSPs using that method.... :)

Dear Mr. Cp2006,
1. I numbered my little guide and I made it very very simple.
2. The guide that you linked him to was authored by another member not by afterdawn.com.
3. More specifically that guide that is in that page was a copy and paste and is very outdated. He makes mention of a tocarta backround which isn't used or needed.
4. They basically are the same thing except with mine being numbered and more organized.
Im dumb founded as to what part of my guide seemed confusing. Take the guide step by step and maybe you'll find it simpler.
However since you feel mine is confusing then by any means go ahead and link him to another page.

Umm w/e. I didn't flame you, nor was i rude.
Im just curious, if that one was simpler to you, what was you going to do when you got to the part that says "(make sure you have changed your background to frame_buffer.png as explained in the toc2rta exploit.) "?? Thats all i was saying.
But you can make comments like that all day if you'd like *yawn*, i wont answer back nor will i lose sleep over it.

You can delete MEMSTICK.IND if you want. Just create the PSP and GAME folders yourself m8 :)

No need for the UMD to be in the drive whilst downgrading but you'll need to keep it in after that to be able to play ISO's.

Get hold of a copy of DevHook 0.43 or 0.44.
Copy all the DevHook folders across to your memory stick. Create an ISO folder on the root of the memory stick. PSP ISOs go in the ISO folder...run DevHook....simple !! :)
