I've had alot of back up games skipping on music, and alot of them that I've burned a couple of months back don't work anymore.... anyways, I was just wondering are these DVD's any good for backing up PS2 games?

Try to look for 8x instead of 16x, a lot of people have reported that they have problem with 16x DVDs

Definitely. 16x media is a very mixed bag with the PS2. I've never had a coaster with TYG02/Yuden000T02. Those're 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD+R's and DVD-R's.
