I hate RUNUMD, but for now it seems the only way to run these types of games, and theres hardly any ISO games out there compared to the number of UMDRIPS there are

Well, I can send you the files you're gonna need, since I have the game.
Needed:
EBOOT.BIN
BOOT.BIN
PARAM.SFO
PIC1.PNG
ICON0.PNG
SNDO.AT3 (optional; it's just the music for the icon in XMB)
UMD_DATA.BIN
And I'll describe the folder structure in a small readme thru my upload. You guys will be playing this game tonight, easy.
EDIT: will post my rip kit and patch tonight as well.

cheers, the folder SYPHONFI has most of those files apart from UMD_DATA and EBOOT
If it had those i could make it into an ISO with UMDGEN, but it does not ..thats what i dont get about rips.. anyways thanks

NP, dudes!! :D I know how good this game is, so you guys MUST have the experience as well.
However, since I don't support piracy, I am going to make the download password protected. You will find the password in the Manual which came w/ the UMD. (b/c I assume this is for back up copies) I chose the only code on page 26. It's the last number to the right and you'll know it as soon as you see it b/c again, it's the only number on the page.
Just kidding. HAHAHAHAHAAH

Right, so whats going on here is...Guano is uploadiong files with etc with a readme on how to make the folders "PSP, SYPHONFT and X" into one ISO to play using devhook? beacuse that is want i have wanted alllll my life!! lol I also have the same problem with Daxter!!
Oh and would you be able to uplaod it onto Megaupload or somewhere other than rapid-bludy-share, cuz for some reason rapidshare and my computer hate eacch other and refuse to collaborate! Sorry if thats any trouble, if not i will just play using the X folder methood :(

alrighty, thanks a bunch, mate. I am also looking high n low for these files, especially the eboot.bin. I just can't get my rip to work, man. Now that I busted the UMD caddy case, I end up getting it from somewhere, and guess what, it is in the folder thingy. The plastic caddy case thingy is not very durable sometimes..

Just a quick report for everyone's info.
Downloaded Guano's files (thanks, Guano), and it does not contains eboot.bin (nor boot.bin (they are huge in size, Guano did not have enough time to include and upload them), which I think is essential to make the iso.
Included files didn't really help with making it to work, since all the icon, pmf files can be created somehow. I basically regenerate the ISO from the original folders with UMDGen. I don't have my PSP with me now so I might got the folder/file name spelt wrong here but I got everything right when I attempt to ISO it. The PSP_GAME (USERDIR and SYSDIR with all appropriate files and folders in place), UMD_DATA.bin (just a plain ASCII file that can be hex edited) and all packed up in the ISO nicely.
Then load with DevHook 0.44 (rebooted to fw2.71), UMD icon and background shown up nicely, the game seem to load up nicely, memory stick access indicator light up nicely (look like it is loading). Got pass the PSP game boot screen, screen remain black, then after a moment, "The game can not be started.." error screen came up.
Tried again, but without the original boot.bin, thinking that maybe Guano might be right - boot.bin and eboot.bin are not needed. Went through the process and still, the same thing. No go, no luck.
I think we definitely need the eboot.bin, to at least load up successfully.

NONONO - I NEVER said you WOULDN'T need the EBOOT and BOOT.BIN files; I was saying I didn't send them b/c I didn't have enought time, I was thinking you might have them already. Of course you're going to need them! That's an integral part of the game and as you can see, it WILL NOT work w/o them.
You guys are welcome! I'll get the remaining files (EBOOT.BIN and BOOT.BIN) up tonight and you guys will have the complete set of files needed.

All right. Here's the update on the files you guys needed. Sorry it took so long. I had the files (All 12MB) at 56% upload and then I accidentally closed the browser that was uploading. Needless to say I'm on dial-up, so that was more than a major setback.
But I still came thru for you guys, so that's all that matters.
