never heard of those but I don't think they are good at a guess, use DVD Decrypter to see what the Disc ID of those are.
You can't booktype DVD+R to DVD-R, only to DVD-ROM, you can set it to do that in DVD Decrypter

Never heard of EMTEC, chances are it's crap. Depends on the media ID, but if I've never heard of it, it's probably not good. If you want to know how to booktype with DVD Decrypter, Nero, ImgBurn, or Alcohol 120%, check the tutorial links in my sig. They explain how to burn with each app and booktype.

Here's a hint, just because the game works doesn't mean it's good. If the media isn't good you'll see the effect a few months down the line, when your PS2 laser starts to struggle. My suggestion is to get some good media, they cost a bit more, but it's worth the money in my opinion

OK the EMTEC says ID: DAXON-AZ1-01 and Datalot says
Pre-recorded Information:
Manufacturer ID: SKC Co.,Ltd.
Recording Management Area Information:
PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-107D
what do you think would be the better option?

that seems like some cheap media I've seen in TM before (before when buying from that site as there's a lot of cheap media from China)
Try some Ritek DVD-R 8x (something like http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Blank-discs/DVD/auction-632319...) with code RITEKG05, the only thing I can find (unless you want to get TY which is like just over $1/disc)
Where do you get your Sony DVD-R from? Cos on TM I think the price is about the same as TY and I've seen a lot of fakes on TM

yeah i thought so too,but i thought the price meant really good media.so i buy them, but i think if you only buy them in singles like i do for now, its because its a extra $1 for the case when you can buy 50 sony discs for $50 at Bond N Bond.

Sony IS good, just not at that price... but $50 for a spindle is ok. I always get a spindle at a time anyway, cheaper and I don't have to go out and buy some everytime I need to burn a disc
