ok i have a 200 gb hard drive in my pc
i want to take it out
i want to install a smaller hard drive (for a reason)and put the 200 gb a way
ok will my compaq recovery disks work?i have them from compaq 8 of them
will it let me install windows from the cds without any problems
on the smaller drive

Normally recovery disks do allow you to use different size hard drives, leave the big drive as it is, and connect the small drive and see if it works, if it does then go back to ur old drive and copy the stuff off if you want, if it doesnt then i suppose u have to think of an alternative.
