Problem with my Sony DRU-800A

I had it mounted in my desktop PC, but i recently junked that computer. I've mounted it in an external USB 2.0 enclosure that is made to hook up to any EIDE device.


Anyone have any problems, suggestions, etc, on this? DVD Decrypter keeps giving me timeout errors and multiple attempts to start writing.

I just had an issue with the Sony DRU-810a... my computer didn't detect it as a dvd burner at all... just a cd/rw all I did was go to the site and update the firmware... easy fix... this might not solve your problem but its a good start.
