hey there
a couple things i notice
Quote:
Nero Version: 7.2.3.2
Internal Version: 7, 2, 3, 2
this is generally considered a buggy version (most of the new ones are :/) so i suggest you write down your serial # then unistall Nero. run this clean tool:
http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_7_Clean_Tool.html
then download Nero version 7.0.8.2 from here:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
and install that. put in youserial # and it will unlock the trial and make it a full version.

I'm not to sure that you can use dvd disks in a cd-rom drive which seems to be what you are using.

Hi james111
Just to add to Xevlys post -
Don't think your burn error Power calibration error is due to your version of Nero - your brand of media or the following may be the culprit.
If you use Vision for .avi files though you may want to downgrade Nero.
Here's Nero's explanation for this error:
If you receive the "Power calibration error" or "Power calibration area is (amost) full" error message, the cause will be either poor media, poor power, or a defective recorder.
Please try the following solutions:

* Update the firmware of your recorder. Please check the manufacturer's website for the latest version.
* Try another brand of media.
* Try different power connectors, and for recorders, do not share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector. If the error occurs with an external recorder, the power source in the chassis could be the cause. As a test, try to take the recorder out of the external chassis and connect it internal.
* Try different configurations, such as taking the CD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master.
* Send the recorder in for service.

Disc Manufacturer ID: VDSPMSAB
Not an 'A' list manufacturer. Better to use would be Verbatim or made in Japan only Fuji, Sony or Maxell.
Quote:
CD-ROM: <Memorex DVD16+/-DL4RWlD2>Version: JWS4
Can also use a firmware update - may not help with these discs since they are fully recognized by your drive. The latest version is JWS6.

Try the suggestions and let us know how it goes - good, abd or otherwise!

So this started when you removed another drive or am I reading this wrong? (think I am). You may want to try another power connection too -that may be the problem.
