If you wanna save some money and get an all around good board. Go for that second one. The A8N5X is the same board I have in my system and I'm in love with it :) Very stable and user friendly.

And I see you've done your homework. That's just about the best budget build you can get. Very good set up. Will get you through FEAR and Oblivion on Medium settings at 1024 x 768, will get you through FarCry at 1600 x 1200 with full AA and AF and max settings. Same for Halflife 2. X800GTO performs a little lower than an X800XL and far above a 6800 regular.

Nevermind the nForce 4 thing. It's the chipset that the board itself uses. You can put any kind of video card in it that you want.

I have the same board and I have an ATi Radeon X850XT in it. It'll work great.

My impression is that you are looking for a good, usable board that can support your hardware. I strongly recommend saving the money with the A8N5X. You don't need a feature-rich gamers' board with advanced overclocking and Crossfire.

(sorry for the double post) but you really should also put a little money into a psu

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153023

This and the motherboard'll go a bit over budget but you'll be glad you spent the extra :)

Just take a close look at it. I can guarantee theres some screws holding it in that you can take it out. They just might be well hidden.
