Ok this is my second thread because my original problem was solved. Turns out Rockstar is trying to be funny releasing 2 versions of ulus 1004 one patched and one not patched. Read here for more<http://pspupdates.qj.net/How-to-find-a-Homebrew-Friendly-version-... So now I am trying to find out if there is another exploit that does not use GTA. I dont care if it is experemental and may result in a brick because I can trade it back in for a new one tommorrow. Lets just say I got friends. So if anyone has any ideas please shoot. I have a 2.6 the usb cable and a 4 gig mem stick. I am open to anything. Consider me a guinea pig. Thanks in advance!

Well I dont think there is going to be any exploits coming out for 2.6 soon. You could however run an emulator if you had an upatched version of GTA:LCS. Or you could downgrade if you have an unpatched version of GTA:LCS. Gamestop and most game retailers have them used.

Ok well what about opening this thing up and fooling around with the insides? Any way I could flah bios from a mem stick to a deleted set of bios? Any ideas? Thanks for the fast reply!

Thats not possible. Although you could open it up and swap motherboards for an older one that has 1.5. GTA and swapping motherboards are about the only two options ATM.

U give up too easily. Let me encourage u into keeping ur PSP.

Now its not that hard to go buy a used GTA umd. U can even buy it online. Go to stores that no one ever buys games from... like Walmart or Fred Myers.... they will have old GTA fo sure.

Now heres the benefits of downgrading.

1. Snes emulators (isnt that ur ultimate goal?)
2. Nes emulator
3. Dev hook = all firmwares, from 1.5 to 2.71... play isos and browse the web.
4. Homebrew apps.... check the weather or use ur psp as a remote. cool stuff like that.
5. Trust me u will save alot of money. Isos = no money waste on umds.

theres a million more reasons but i think these are the most beneficial.

Now u may not support piracy or whatever... i really dont care its free and thats all that matters. Just letting u know that u are missing out if u return it.
